This podcast features our February Scoutmaster panel discussion. We answer email questions about how positions of responsibility are determined among youth leaders and the Scoutmaster’s role in making this happen, offer some advice for how to go about getting a Troop that’s off track back on track, and the issues involved in replacing a Scoutmaster who is ready to retire.
The next ScoutCircle is scheduled for Sunday, March 10 9-10 PM EST and features Frank Maynard, long serving Troop committee chairman and blogger at Bobwhite Blather. Join us to listen to Frank and ask your questions concerning the troop committee. Details at ScoutCircle.org.

So glad I found this site. Started with Podcast 40 and found myself wanting to join the conversation. I always tell adults that if they feel like they aren’t doing anything then they are doing a good job. On this blog, I find I am most excited after a Troop election because it works. The hard part is telling other adults not to worry when some of the elected Scouts don’t follow through. Good job. I have a lot of listening to do to catch up.
